Methodology Refined....(Project Goals Refined)

Project Goal
To create space that is physically altered by sustainable systems through multiple methods of output.

The scale of the project must be determined.  Is a smaller more intimate space more appropriate to activate these sensory experiences? – Would a large space drown out the spatial significance each system will have?  Will it just make it more difficult to design?
1.
-Research - Initial research is needed to define systems of necessity and systems of preference when targeting the project contents.  This will include research into specific systems that would work with a within a specific climate.  This also means climate data research to develop an understanding of where. The systems would be defining the what.
1.
-Re-re-define - With a knowledge of systems and climate an educated decision on how the project can be fully manifested must emerge.  This will also be a point at which ideas are formulated for combating specific problems.

1.

-Experiment/Mini Design - Un-answered questions can be explored through experimenting with designs of known systems to fit any problematic situations.
1.

- Research - This should probably work in unison with further research into the already defined systems so that a full understanding on how these all work can be grasped. At this point some model but mostly drawing should be used.  Also – information on the local standards of building should be addressed.
1.

-Refine- the goals and polish up the message the project will attempt to convey.  This will be referred back to throughout the design process and must be clear and without any problematic clauses/issues/etc

1.

This schedule is hazy but each research phase should be at least 2 weeks long, each define/refine/re(whatever) will be shorter, possibly done as a charrette - 1 to 2 nights should be adequate if timed appropriately.  the deliverable on these will be in drawing and text.  Research phases will be drawing, model, and of course a body of text to support my findings.
